Milly Alcock, who plays Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, a younger version of Emma D’Arcy’s character, provides one of House of the Dragon’s most notable performance casts. The 22-year-old has already garnered so much attention for the role that it’s raising questions about whether she’ll join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Game of Thrones’ latest star.
This transition was made by Game of Thrones actors including Emilia Clarke, Richard Madden, Kit Harrington and Peter Dinklage (who played Eitri in Avengers: Infinity War after appearing in X-Men: Days of Future Past) (who will star in one of Marvel’s most anticipated TV shows, Secret Invasion). We have a few Marvel characters in mind who have yet to see the light of day on screen who we think would be ideal for Alcock if there were any new Marvel movies (or TV shows, in particular).
Here are the Marvel characters that Milly Alcock can play:
1.Morgan Le Fay
Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen is not only a member of the Targaryen family, but also a dragon rider, which means she has the power to bond with this fire-breathing beast and ride it. Reminiscent of a Marvel character who, oddly enough, has yet to be officially introduced in the MCU (unless you count Elizabeth Hurley’s role in Runaways), we saw riding Syrax, the dragon she keeps as her pet. company, in House of the Dragon. This character would require Milly Alcock to tap into her evil side.
Even though Morgan Le Fay’s iconography predates Marvel Comics by centuries, she has earned a reputation as one of the universe’s most cruel and powerful villains. Not to mention that she sometimes sent a dragon to carry out her instructions (or even could transform into one herself). Why not pick one of the more well-known media Dragonriders for the part of an Eternals post-credits scene hint that his MCU debut is imminent?
2. Elsa Bloodstone
After all, this is Milly Alcock’s first major role after playing the young princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon. Maybe she’d rather avoid playing the villain. However, I have someone in mind who would be the perfect choice if she wants to make her Marvel debut as a character still somewhat tied to mythological creatures.
Elsa Bloodstone is a young British woman who was raised in a family of monster hunters, including her father, Ulysses Bloodstone, and brother, Cullen. When she reaches adulthood, Elsa will quickly establish herself as one of the greatest in the field. She would later team up with Deadpool, resulting in one of Marvel Comics’ most distinctive and humorous interactions. I’d love to see that dynamic when Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth makes his MCU debut in his third feature. Otherwise, it would still be amazing to see Alcock guiding a unique monster hunting trip.
3. Mighty Princess
Of course, Milly Alcock won’t want to play another role involving monsters for a while after leaving the cast of House of the Dragon. The Marvel Universe (or Marvel Multiverse, to be more precise) has a persona that would be perfect for her if she was still fascinated by the concept of playing a royal role.
Zarda Shelton was the princess of the ruling dynasty of the island of Utopia from Earth-712 until the invention of the atomic bomb forced her people to leave their home planet. Zarda, posing as Power Princess, instead decided to stay and continue to protect the helpless. Even though this character has a few too many similarities to DC’s Wonder Woman (aside from Diana Prince leaving her people on Themiscyra rather than the other way around), I still think it would be interesting to learn more about his backstory in the MCU.
4.Tempus
A fun fact about Milly Alcock is that she is originally from Australia and started her career as an actress in television and in a 2018 horror movie called The School. Fun fact about the Marvel Universe: While there are plenty of Australian characters with varying skill sets, relatively few of them have made it into the MCU. Alcock playing this young mutant might be able to help with that though.
One of the young heroes recruited by The Five from House X, where she went by the nickname Tempus, is Eva Bell. The codename refers to his power to shift time, as well as speed up, slow down, or completely stop everything within a certain region, all without affecting anything outside the specified radius. She’s been praised for her abilities by Stephen Strange himself, so if that’s not when the X-Men make their official MCU debut, I like the idea of her being featured in the next movie. the former Sorcerer Supreme (who has been mentioned in a few instances already).
5. Lifeguard
If Tempus turns out not to be involved when the X-Men officially make their MCU debut, we have another mutant character in mind for Milly Alcock. Believe it or not, this one is Australian too, but not originally; he is a descendant of the Shi’ar, an alien race.
Although she is a lifeguard among the X-Men, Heather Cameron’s real name is Heather Cameron. She is a true, certified lifesaver who can also change form at any time to quickly adapt to her surroundings in the event of a life-threatening crisis. She can transform into golden armor, grow wings so she can fly, and when submerged in water, acquire a fish tail and gills so she can breathe.
6. Gwenpool
The actor could play the Merc with Mouth’s monster-hunting partner Elsa Bloodstone in Shawn Levy’s upcoming Deadpool 3, which would allow Molly Alcock and Ryan Reynolds to work together. Although I think I have an even better couple for these actors that would completely transform the franchise.
I couldn’t help but think Alcock would make a great Gwendolyn Poole just by looking at her. After being miraculously transported into the Marvel Comics Universe, this once-daily comic book-loving teenager has gone on to use her extensive knowledge of it to become a successful superhero with a costume that looks just like Deadpool. if it was pink. Given that the MCU’s multiverse saga has already begun, this seems like the perfect opportunity to bring this special, wonderfully meta, and interdimensional individual into the mix.
While I have high hopes for Milly Alcock’s future based on all these names, there’s a chance she chooses to follow in the footsteps of other Game of Thrones stars like Jason Momoa, Ciarán Hinds or Pedro Pascal by acting in upcoming DC movies instead. Just wait and see.
