“A Dream Like a Dream” play pays tribute to Wuhan medical staff

Play A dream like a dream will take place in Wuhan on April 22 to honor all of the frontline medical workers in this heroic city.

The show is a large eight-hour production and engages over 30 actors on a three-story stage that can be viewed from eight angles. The show also engages various deductive chapters that tell stories in places such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Paris.

Famous actors such as Xu Qing, Xiao Zhan and Zhang Liang are the stars of the series.

A dream like a dream is inspired by the play of the same name created by Lai Shengchuan, one of China’s most renowned directors. The Wuhan Play is the 2013 release directed by Magnificent Culture lead producer Wang Keran.

Jointly produced by companies such as Magnificent Culture and Poly Theater Management Co., Ltd., the show is held to commemorate the heroic city of Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province. He also salutes the medical workers there as well as across the country for their dedication to saving lives during the pandemic.

Wuhan will be the first stop of the show, which will then tour other cities such as Qingdao in Shandong Province (east China), Changsha in Hunan Province (central China) and Xiamen in the province. from Fujian (eastern China), before finally returning to Beijing at the end of December.
