LoveOly SummerFest is back in historic downtown Olympia! The same goes for live music and amazing shows, activities for kids and families. You’ll also enjoy interactive art installations from local artists, local community groups and a Biergarten with local seasonal libations from 3 Magnets Brewing Co., Well 80 Brewhouse and Whitewood Cider Co. LoveOly SummerFest 2022 will be held every Saturday August, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Supersuckers will kick off the summer concert series on Saturday, August 6
The Supersuckers were formed in Tucson, Arizona in 1988 by high school friends Eddie Spaghetti (born Edward Carlyle Daly III, bass, vocals), Ron Heathman (guitar), Dan “Thunder” Bolton (guitar), Dancing Eagle (born Dan Seigal, drums) and Eric Martin (vocals).
Activities for children powered by Hands On Children’s Museum
But SummerFest isn’t just about watching, it’s about doing. The activity zone will include ping pong, bean bag tossing, giant chess, sidewalk chalk and more, powered by the Hands On Children’s Museum.
Art installations by Dave Sederberg
Local artist Dave Sederberg, known for his recent installation “Glowhenge”, coordinates a group of local artists to install interactive and engaging artwork.
Youth group showcase
In addition to featured bands, buskers, children’s entertainers and community groups will entertain attendees. SummerFest will this year host a showcase of youth groups as well as buskers such as jugglers, contortionists and buskers who will wow audiences with their talent. Local community groups such as The Bridge Music Project and Olympia Symphony Orchestra will produce dance and beat-making competitions, respectively, and feature local professional musicians.

15:00 – Love Oly Summer Fest Opening Speech by Olympia Downtown Alliance Chairman Todd Monohon, Olympia Town Mayor Cheryl Selby and Squaxin Island Tribe President , Christopher Peters. Location: On the main stage in front of the Capitol Theater, 206 East 5th.
4:00 p.m. – LoveOly Summerfest welcomes stunt performers to the main stage. Location: On the main stage in front of the Capitol Theater, 206 East 5th.
5:00 p.m. – LoveOly SummerFest welcomes Speedealer to the main stage. Location: On the main stage in front of the Capitol Theater, 206 East 5th.
