The “live radio game” is now live.
Olympic Theater Arts’ “A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play” airs through December 19, with performance times set at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday December 10-11 and 17-18, and 2:00 p.m. Sundays (12 and 19 dec.). A paid program for all budgets is available at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 16.
Enjoy a classic in-person tale from Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” adapted by Joe Landry, performed on a 1940s radio station – with live sound effects and an applause panel.
Chosen for supporters of OTA radio plays produced and released during the pandemic, this play allows the performing arts center to finally invite everyone back to the theater live on the main stage Elaine & Robert Caldwell .
“Everyone knows A Christmas Carol, almost by heart,” said director Merv Wingard, who also stars as Ebenezer Scrooge.
“And what would Christmas be without it?” It truly is a literary masterpiece written for all time, ”Wingard said.
Participants must present photo ID and proof of vaccination or a negative PCR laboratory test dated within 72 hours to be admitted; face masks are compulsory.
Tickets for this show on the main stage are $ 18 for the general public, $ 16 for OTA members, and $ 12 for students with a school ID card, and are available at the theater box office. 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday to Friday, or online at Olympic TheaterArts .org.
