Older Adult Choir Organization Takes Online Arts Education to New Heights

ANNAPOLIS, MD, USA, Jan 11, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ – As America’s largest choral organization for adults over 55, Encore Creativity for Older Adults, begins its winter / spring session of in-person singing on the East Coast in February, 2022, the nonprofit based in Annapolis, Md., is also expanding and transforming its popular Encore online university into a multidisciplinary enrichment program with a holistic approach encompassing all the arts. Led by the best students and educators, the 10-week virtual program will launch on February 14, 2022.

From auditory training, sight singing and vocal technique to the history of music, art and dance, Encore University offers up to 15 live lessons and up to 150 one-to-one lessons and is open to students. art lovers over 55 from all over the country. Previous experience is not necessary.

Creative course selections include Move, Connect, Create !, Poetry, Music in Film, Encore Book Club, Principles of Conducting, Opera and Music Theater History, Ballet for Beginners, Drawing and Sketching for Beginners, and more. A basic music training course will help participants hone their vocal skills, while a composition and score study course will cover the basics of songwriting.

All Encore University courses take place Monday through Friday live at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Each course is recorded and will be available on request. Enrolled students will also have access to a weekly midday recital series and a midday masterclass series performed by the faculty, which has conducted and / or performed at major venues, such as the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and has taught in very reputable institutions.
