Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater delighted listeners with rock and roll music. The young actors went to the stage of the theater and rocked it.
The entire theater team participated in the filming process, including choreographers, ballet dancers Kamran Hasanov and Aynura Askarova, director Alvin Mahmudov, Azer Maharramov (musical arrangement) as well as Rabiya Aliyeva, Elvira Azizova, Susan Orujova, Mohammed Abdullaev and Elmaddin. Meanwhile, the State Academic Musical Theater recently completed its 111th season.
This season, the theater team delighted the audience with virtual performances and implemented many creative projects.
The theater started its 111th season with the musical “Husband and Wife” by Uzeyir Hajibeyli.
The comedy brought together People’s Artists Ilham Namig Kamal, Afag Bashirgizi, Fatma Mahmudova, Honored Artist Nakhida Orudzheva, actors Moile Mirzaliyev, Guljahan Salamova, Agakhan Sharifov, Elkhan Ismayilov, Alimammad Novruzov, Ruslan Mursalov, others. The piece was presented practically in the middle of quarantine rules.
After the end of the season, the theater workers who showed their best during the current season were rewarded with prizes. The awards ceremony took place virtually in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
Over the past year, the State Musical Theater has hosted events of national and international significance. A number of performances were created, the theater team took part in high-level international competitions and won numerous awards.
Many measures have been taken to attract more spectators to the theatre. The theater participated in the 35th International Fajr Theater Festival in Iran. At the festival, Azerbaijan presented the play “Husband and Wife”.
Within the framework of the 3rd Sheki International Theater Festival, the theater team staged a comedy by the famous Uzbek writer Ibrahim Sadigov “Five Wives Molla Nasreddin” in two acts.
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the play “Nuri-Dida Jeyhun” (A.Amirli) was also presented to the public. The role of Jeyhun Hajibeyli was performed on the national stage for the first time.
