DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) – A new performance hits the stage in Duluth this weekend.
On Friday, the “Tuesdays with Morrie” production opens at the Spirit of the North Theater, located in the Fitger Building.
The autobiographical show is based on the well-known book which tells the story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor.
Jason Vincent, the show’s producer, stopped by CBS 3 This Morning on Wednesday to talk about the production.
“I really think it’s one of the most relevant shows right now, especially after the two-and-a-half-year pandemic that we’ve been through,” Vincent said. “If there’s one thing we’ve all learned, it’s about friendships and relationships. It’s about that work-life balance and taking back control of life, and that’s what this story did for Mitch. It made him realize what was important.
Vincent said “Tuesdays with Morrie” is a production anyone can enjoy and features a local cast and crew.
Performances begin Friday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the Spirit of the North Theater on the third floor of the Fitger’s Complex.
It will air until May 1.
